Cypress Mill Community Development District (the “District”) was established on June 12th, 2018 pursuant to the Uniform Community Development District Act of 1980, otherwise known as Chapter 190, Florida Statutes, by the Hillsborough County Ordinance 15-6. The Act provides, among other things, the power to manage basic services for community development, power to borrow money and issue bonds, and to levy and assess non-ad valorem assessments for the financing and delivery of capital infrastructure.
The proposed Cypress Mill Community Development District will be comprised of approximately 270.73 acres, located in unincorporated Hillsborough County, between US Highway 75 and Highway 301 and north of 19th Avenue NE. The petitioner has proposed to establish the Cypress Mill Community Development District to plan, finance, acquire, construct, operate and maintain all infrastructure and community facilities, which may be authorized by such districts under Florida law, including but not limited to water management and control, water supply, sewer, wastewater management, bridges or culverts, roads and street lights, parks and recreational facilities, security facilities, and certain other projects when expressly approved or required by a local government and any other facilities in accordance with Section 190.012(1), (2) and (3), Florida Statutes.
